Permissions and Access

What an AI assistant can see and change when you connect it to Hypello, and how to revoke its access.

When you connect an AI app, Hypello shows a consent page that lists exactly what the app is asking for. Nothing is shared until you click Allow.

What you approve

The consent page can ask for these permissions:

PermissionWhat it allows
Instagram accountsView your connected Instagram accounts (username, status and follower count)
AutomationsView your automations and their performance stats
Edit automationsCreate automations and change their settings and status
Posts and StoriesView your Instagram posts, Reels and Stories, and your Facebook Page posts
ContactsView your contacts, including emails and phone numbers they shared
AI agentsView your AI agents, their knowledge base and skills
Edit AI agentsCreate AI agents and add knowledge to them

What an AI app can never do

  • Delete anything in Hypello.
  • Change your Hypello account, plan or billing.
  • See your Instagram or Facebook password. Hypello connects to Meta through its official API, and the AI app only talks to Hypello.

Contacts are personal data

The contacts list includes emails and phone numbers that people shared with you. Hypello tells the assistant to treat them as personal data and use them only for what you ask. Only approve the contacts permission in AI apps you trust with that data.

See and revoke connected apps

  1. Open app.hypello.com and choose MCP in the sidebar.
  2. Under Connected AI apps, you'll see each app, when it was connected, when it was last active, and what it can access.
  3. Click Revoke to disconnect one app, or Revoke all to disconnect every app.

The app loses access immediately. To use it again, connect it and approve access again.

You can also remove the Hypello connector from inside the AI app.
